Maintenance & Care
AutoFloors are built as architectural surfaces under your feet. A few simple habits will keep the carving, sheen, and detail performing the way they were designed.
01. Wipe-Down as Needed
Use a soft microfiber cloth with water or a pH-neutral cleaner, then dry.
No polishing products are required.
02. Solid Surface Care
For carved solid surface (Corian®-type materials):
Clean with a non-abrasive sponge and mild soap.
Light surface marks can usually be corrected. Contact us for deep chips or damage, those should be handled by a professional.
03. Metal & Specialty Finishes
Metal and hand-applied finishes are intentionally nuanced and may develop subtle character over time.
Use only a soft, damp microfiber cloth; dry immediately.
Do not use polishing pastes, abrasives, “magic eraser” pads, or wire-based tools.
Avoid prolonged contact with de-icing salts, strong cleaners, or colored liquids left to dry in carved recesses.
If you are unsure whether a product is safe, assume it isn’t and contact us first.
04. Spills & Stains
If a mark remains after gentle cleaning, send us a photo before you move to anything stronger.
Blot spills quickly—don’t rub them deeper into the carving.
Rinse with clean water and wipe with mild soap if needed, and dry with a clean cloth.
05. Heat, Weight & Impact
AutoFloors are engineered to handle real use, but:
Do not place objects taken directly from open flame, welding, or intense heat on the surface.
Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects from height.
Do not drag heavy metal objects across the carved areas.
